MERRY CHRISTMAS!

“Christmas gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us -- a time when we can look back on the year that has passed and prepare for the year ahead.” -- David Cameron
The quote reminds me about all God's doing the past months in 2014. He has been very generous! He always been. I've been thinking a lot before I decided to post my reflection on my blog. I used to post the recap of each year on my blog every year, but maybe not this time. Because there are somethings that I didn't remembered and it's boring. isn't it? Not much story that are attractive to be written though. But! I feel grateful for that still!

Here are my thoughts about Christmas and 2014 overall:

1.  Family is an important thing to have in life
For around 2 years, my mom cut off her connection with her brothers and sisters. She only talks to few of them or to her sister or brother in law. She even do not talk with her father for sometime. At first, I thought it was nothing. I believe that she can enjoy her life without or with them. But then, this year was the start of all, they began to connected with one of another. God has heard my prayers for sometime. My mom laughed more often this day, she is much better this year. Now, I believe that even your life is good enough, but without family you are nothing. Start loving your family! I always fight with my brother, but I don't really bother to fight back, so he will not continue the fight. It's my way to not fight, even I was angry with him. He is just too annoying and selfish. Btw, he will be gone for Australia next month, and hopefully I'll miss him.

2. Money isn't everything
Well, believe it or not, I learned that money isn't everything. Yes, you can buy almost everything with money. But it doesn't always makes you happy. Happiness couldn't be bought with money. I know it is a cliche sentence ever said in the world, but it's true! My family suffer some economic issue. My parents almost cannot pay their credit card bills every month. But, she get helps from her family and she began to go to church. And God gave us much more blessing than we ever ask. God is everything, money isn't everything. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you"-- Matthew 6:33 (KJV).

3. Something too much is not good
Probably this is the best advice I could tell to you. Well, everything has a limit, so if it is too much is not good. Medicine is good to cure your sickness, but when it is too much, you may suffer more pain. It also applies to good deeds. Good deeds are the best thing people can do. But it can make others uncomfortable and hurt. You do good deeds for one person or group only, you can make your family feel abandoned or you can make the person you help didn't become independent. So, do not think too much; don't eat too much-- even it's a healthy food; don't love too much; don't talk too much; don't act too much; and many other things. Everything was created for good purpose, but when it's too much it can bring a disaster.

4. Good YOLO kind of life
It is true that you only live once. But many people mistaken this slogan or motto or whatsoever. My friends like to post YOLO on their social media, but what they do wasn't a good thing. Ironically, what they did was just wasting their time, their life. So, I realized that "DO THE BEST IN EVERYTHING YOU DO" is the purpose of YOLO. You only live once, so do the best. Time is the most cruel thing ever. You can never turn back the time, you can't ask God to add your time. All is in His hand, so do the best, don't waste your time. Start to plan what you are going to do in your future, how you are going to live your life.

5. Be a long-life learner
Last but not least, NEVER STOP LEARNING! Learning in every possible way. Learn how to fix things, learn new languages, learn to do you find interesting, learn everything. When I got into the university, there are a lot of things I need to learn to survive in the university. Survive in the free world is much more worse, so I decided to never stop learning. I've taken English lesson since I was small, but until I went to university, I was still learning it. Even in the university, I needed so much. My English are still not excellent, even I rarely got 100 on my English test, so I still take English classes to make it more good. Never satisfy with what you achieve more. Challenge yourself to learn more things, to achieve more things! Good luck!

So, that are some thoughts I wanted to share with you in this special edition post! Let me know if it helps you! I just wanna say:
  MERRY CHRISTMAS PEEPS!
Have jolly one. God bless you!

BEAUTY: Summer Korean Hauls! (Late Post) X Innisfree

Hello!
It's the second part of my summer Korean hauls. In this post, I'll mostly talk about my Innisfree hauls, because it were the most of my hauls came from. It's my first time purchased Innisfree, so I'm going to include my first impression of it also. If you want me to post my Korean Album hauls, leave a comment below. :) Enjoy!

1. Mineral Stick Concealer

Finally got a legit concealer. My old concealer was from Tony Moly, and it was old and maybe expired. So, I'm so happy got to have a concealer. I heard Innisfree products are good and it's organic! I mean natural or whatsover it is. This concealer does a great job for discoloration and scars. But it does not conceal the new scars, when there is a dry part-- you what I meant right? I bought the second shade of 3 shade available. I bought a darker shade, because I need it for concealing my acne and its scars left behid. The concealer cost for KRW 8,000 or $ 8.00.
2. Smart Foundation Water Balancing

Hello to glowy-Korean-face! I bought a new bb cream type foundation. I saw this on Pony's Diary on Youtube, she is a Korean Beauty Blogger. She used all the 5 types of this line. So, I want to give it a try. The packaging is so sleek and nice! It also doesn't cost much for a great result. I cost for KRW 5,500 or $5.50. I have a great expectation on this foundation! :)

3. Smart Makeup Blender

Well, I don't really know exactly what's the function of this thing. But, when I saw this on Pony's Diary, it can be a primer,  a volumer, and a mix for making a liquid blush. (I'm sorry, but I can't find the video, I would like to show it to you actually. But you may check her videos here). I haven't try it, so I'll make a separate blog about this review. This cost slightly more expensive than the foundation which is KRW 6,000 or $6.00. (btw, Innisfree came up with new products of this smart makeup line).

4. Tapping Lip Concealer

It was huge trend in Korea, where you conceal your lips with concealer, to make the real colors of the  lipstick or lipgloss showed up. So, that's my real intention. I was about to try those tips. I watched quite a lot Korean makeup tips on the internet or TV. This cost for KRW 10,000 or $10.00. I know it's quite expensive, but I'll give it a try.

5. Eye Primer

Finally bought a legit eye primer. I got some samples of Urban Decay famous eye primer when I bought the Naked 2 Palette. But then I need a 'real' eye primer, so I gave this a try. The eye primer packaging is very simple but doesn't look appealing. This cost for KRW 6,000 or $6.00.

6. Shadow Pencil

The reason I bought this because some of beauty blogger who used Korean products used this and my mom said she wants to use eyeshadow. Since, she can't do makeup, so this type of eyeshadow was great for her. It has the same function with Etude House's 101 Play Pencil, but this one came out the chubby version and all of the colors are shimmery one. I bought 2 colors, which are white for my corner eyes, and makes that cute Korean makeup style, and pink for my mom. The shadow pencil cost for KRW 7,500 or $ 7.50.

7. Eco Beauty Tool: Blackhead Out Brush

I wanted to buy the Clarisonic brush for my face, but when I went to Korea, most of the shops sell it, even though it was not as high-tech as Clarisonic. So, since I will buy it someday, I didn't purchase it for my face. In the end, I bought just for removing blackhead. I've used it, but I don't really see the difference. Maybe I didn't use it the proper way and the product to removing the blackhead was not good. But, the brush itself is veryy soft! I liked it. :D This costs for KRW 10,000 or $ 10.00. It was quite expensive compared to the small size of it.

8. Eco Beauty Tool: Makeup Angle Eyebrow Brush

I don't know why I bought it. I don't usually draw my eyebrows, since I have a thick and full eyebrow. But maybe it will do something good later on. The brush costs for KRW 3,500 or $3.50. I think it was affordable for something 'eco'.

9. Green Barley Multi Cleansing Tissue

Basically, it is a cleansing wipes to take off your makeup easily and quickly. Usually, I used the Pond's Oil Control Cleansing Wipes, but it was not really effective in removing your makeups, especially eye makeup. So, I decided to buy one, since I brought makeups to Korea, but I didn't bring any remover and my cleansing foam in Korea was supposedly expired, since I bought it when I went there 2 years ago. Haha. This wipes quite wet, but it do a great job! Especially when I had a lots of acne. It also have a oily effect after you used it, but it was not a problem since I washed my face afterwards. The wipes cost for KRW 6,500 or $ 6.50 for 50 sheets. (I'm sorry, I don't take the picture, so, I used the picture on their website.)

10. Nail Polishes

Last but not least, nail polishes! Korean beauty shops offer a very cheap nail polishes with good quality of course. I bought Innisfree white nail polish and Eco Quick Dry Multi Coat. I've try the multi coat on my Christmas Themed nails (you can see the pictures here) and it was quite good. It dries fast. yeay! I haven't try out the white nail polish, because I used the Faceshop's first. The White nail polish cost for KRW 2,500-3,500 or $ 2.50- 3.50,  depends on the colors you bought. For the multicoat it costs for KRW 3,500 or $ 3.50.

I love Innisfree now! They gave a generous amount of samples and gifts. They gave us some of their skincare samples, makeup pouch that acts like a keychain, and many more! I'll definitely going to buy their other products someday.

That's all for my Korean Beauty Products! Let me know if you want me to show you my Korean Album Hauls. :)
See you soon!

BEAUTY: Summer Korean Hauls! (Late Post) X Etude House X The Faceshop

Hi there!
I apologize for the late of this post. Today, I'm going to post my Korean Hauls this summer. It has a lot of things, so I'm going to separate it into 2 parts. This post is about my Etude House and The Faceshop hauls. and the other post is about Inisfree hauls and some other things I bought in Korea. If you want me to post my holiday in Korea, just leave a comment here! :)

So, the first one is Etude House hauls! I went to their shop for 2 or 3 times, but I didn't buy much for myself. I bought a lots of things here for my friends, mom, and for buying souvenirs.

Dust Cut Facial Mist
I purchased this mist because I thought it might help during the days I spent on walking by foot and living in Jakarta (with those pollution surround me). I don't know if its really effective or not, but the mist is awesome! It does not taste bitter (you know mists sometime came into your mouth), feel refreshing, and smells good. The packaging itself also simple and neat, it doesn't look like the typical cute packaging of Etude House. This product cost for KRW 9,500 or $9.50.
Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher

Finally, I got a new blush! Even though it was almost the same shade with the one I have now, but I can alternate it or have another back up of blusher. I purchased the Princess Edition one because it just so pretty. :3 I haven't try it out until now, so I'll make a review about it later. I've check out for the price on the website, but I can't found it anymore. Maybe it was just for a limited time. So, I'm happy to have the limited edition one. :D
Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips

I purchased something I didn't use often, which is lipstick. I don't like using lipstick or lipgloss, but I became use of it. So, I decided to buy one, because I don't have a proper lipstick. Usually, I borrowed my mom, which have a different taste of color for lipstick. I bought the Etoinette line, which is quite pricey but, the packaging looks classy. I haven't try this out, but the color was so pretty. I bought in shade #002. The lipstick cost for KRW 13,000 or $13.00.

Play 101 Pencil

The cute sharpie

Last but not least on my Etude House's hauls, the famous Play 101 Pencil. I saw this product on the Instagram and their website. I'm very sure to buy this whenever I visit Etude House. I bought 3 colors which are, brown (#50), glittery pink (#6), and shimmery broken white (#5). I purchased those 3 colors because they are going to be used by me often. They have a lots of color, like a pencil color! This product can act as a eyeliner, eyeshadow, and lip liner. It's a multifunction product! This only cost for KRW 6,000 or $6.00. It's quite cheap for the function given.

Next up is The FaceShop hauls!

Luminous Perfume Face Powder

Yeay! I got my own loose powder. Before, I chose to purchased this, I search on the internet which is the best loose powder, and this came in 4th place. It's affordable and good, who didn't want to have it? It has a strong scent, because it is perfumed, so if anyone have allergic to strong scent, I didn't recommend it. The packaging also good and PINK! :D I don't remember the price, but it was not as pricey as other loose powder.

White Jewel Peeling

Bought a peeling gel/scrub just because my regular one was almost finished. Since I want to try out the other brand and I saw it on The Faceshop display rack, I bought this. I don't know anything about it, so I just chose from the rating on the packaging. There are 4 variants with different of main ingredients. I chose the pearl one, because the rating for both harshness and moisturizing are 4 stars. I'll give this a try after I've finished my It's Skin Mangowhite Peeling gel (read my review here). The Faceshop's peeling gel/scrub cost for KRW 7,900 or $7.90.

Daily Beauty Tools Blusher and Shading Brush

I'm in a mission to have makeup brushes. Actually, I wanted to buy the Sigma brush or Real Technique brush, but I didn't get the chance to buy it and it's quite pricey. Since I don't do make up everyday, so I just bought what I really needed. I don't have a blusher brush and I just bought an Etude House blush that doesn't come with the applicator. So, I have a good reason to buy one. The brush itself looks good and have a clean cut. The brush cost for KRW 7,000 or $7.00. Isn't it cheap?

Trendy Nails Nail Polish (es)

I really wanted to have a Christmas themed nail since I'm into beauty stuffs. I don't really like using nail polish, actually. Just on some occasions, I wear nail polishes. So I decided to buy white and red nail polish. Actually, I've bought the white one in Innisfree, but I just realized I bought another white in the Faceshop. The Faceshop has a promo for their nail polish, it's buy 1 get 1 free. yeay! I like free stuffs. Since it only cost for KRW 2,000 or $2.00, how come I don't hestitate to buy 4 colors. The rule is you buy the same variant. For example the basic one with the basic one, or the glitter one with the glitter one. I got white, red, gold, and glitter white.

Since the Korean beauty shop always generous with samples and gifts, I got a small mirror. Isn't it look like Anna Sui's mirror? Btw, there are a lot of samples, masks, gifts I got from my hauls, but I didn't post it here, because it's just too much! Hehe.

That's all for part 1 hauls! Keep on reading for the part 2. :)
 Thanks!

BEAUTY: Christmas Themed Manicure

HAIIII!
This is my first post about nails!! I'm excited to post this.
So, Christmas is around the corner and I'm on holiday, which means I can do some manicure. When I'm at university, I can't paint my nails, since it might look dirty. Well groom is a must, so does nails.
This time, I paint my nails with Christmas theme colors, which are red, green, and white. Also, this is my first time using tape techniques. I made a candy cane using the tape techniques. It was a hard thing at first, but I'm going to practice that technique on my next manicure. Before you see more detail of my nails, I would like to tell you that my nails are not perfectly paint and looks awesome. But still I want to post it to my blog, because maybe after this day, I can improve my skills in painting my nails. Practice makes perfect, right?
So here the more detail of my (not so perfect) Christmas nails:

peace for the blurry nails.
I paint my nails using:
Etude House "Dear Darling Nails Care" base coat
The FaceShop Trendy Nails in #WH002 (Snow White) and #RD301 (I want to Stay Away from Sun --my own version translation of  헷살을 피하고싶었어)
Skin Food "Pedicure Vita" in #13 Green Grass
Innisfree "Eco Quick Dry Multi Coat" as my top coat.
P.S: I will feature the nail polishes on the other post. For the Skin Food polish, I've feature it on my Skin Food hauls. You may check it out here. :)
