BEAUTY: Top 5 Favourites of 2022 Empties

I summed up the top 5 products out of my 2022 empties below. Full products that I have emptied can be seen in my YouTube videos, watch them here and the second part here.

This product is the best body scrub I ever had! I would like to give this product 20 out of 10. I love the texture, the scent, and the amount of the product. It was just perfect. And what’s more is that when you take the empty tube back to the store, they will give you a voucher to purchase other products. This brand is actually under the H&M company, so it is not a Korean brand.

They have various types and scents. From hand wash to body lotion. I really love the scent that I bought, Arabesque Wood. It has an earthy note and a twist of citrus (they said). Super love. I mentioned the texture before and the reason why I love it is that they have a just right texture. It is not harsh and not too fine. Unlike the regular body scrub that I had tried before, this product has the best texture. I don’t regularly scrub my body, so this 250ml worth of product took quite some time to be finished.

This product is the best loose powder that I’ve tried so far. I love that this powder is lightweight and mattify the skin, especially when those red pops appear. After the application, your skin will feel super soft and I really love it. Even though the powder is white, it is free of talc, synthetic colors, and 4 other ingredients. It is very convenient to use, even though the applicator is quite small. Regardless of the applicator, I still love this product very much. I’m on my second tube and will repurchase it soon!

I got this product as a gift from I don’t know where. But surprisingly, this product is quite good. I didn’t expect it. Though it is thicker than the La Roche Posay sunscreen, this one is lighter than the Nivea sunscreen. After application, it doesn’t feel sticky or tacky at all and it has a quite matte finish, which I think and suitable for oily or acne-prone skin. The sunscreen has quite good and water resistant. I will reach out to this product after I finished all the sunscreens I have now.

The best multifunctional skincare product on my vanity. I couldn’t remember how I got to know this product, but this product works like a magic. Well, sometimes it took some time to really get the result to be seen, but it really does work. This product was known for making stretch marks invisible. But, this product also works for scars as well. The main function of this product is to improve the skin. I am very grateful that I came across this product because I didn’t know that I could have severe aftermath when bitten by some insects. The oil has improved my skin tone back to normal several times. I also use this for my stretchmarks, even though I don’t have a baby yet, but since I gained weight a lot, I got some of it around my thighs.

I have great relief that I finally found a shampoo without detergent surfactants. The regular shampoo I usually see in drugstores and supermarkets mostly has an SLS or known as Sodium Laureth Sulfate. The thing that makes your shampoo foamy. This shampoo has a little foam compared to regular shampoo. This thing might clean the hair, but in the long run, it can ruin your scalp which results in hair loss. This shampoo has a good scent even though it doesn’t have additional perfume. It consists of a few essential oils. This shampoo is very awesome! Though the price is a bit higher compared to the general shampoo and it’s an imported product. My hair is my biggest asset, so I had to take care of my hair carefully.

So, that is the top 5 products from my empties of 2022. I have used many products this year, but most of the products are my all-time favorites, so I don’t want to repeat the review. Also, I mentioned some of the travel products that I’ve used in my YouTube video. You can watch the video here.

Have you ever tried any of the products above? If yes, which one and what is your opinion of that product? Let me know in the comment section down below.

I will see you soon on my next post, soon!

EMPTIES: TOP 10 EMPTIES PRODUCTS FROM 2018 - (HALF) 2019

I've made “Empties 2018 - (half) 2019” video and uploaded it on my Youtube Channel, but it might be too long to watch (unless you have so much spare time to watch). So, I made highlighted products that are really really good and worth to try on this blog post.
Note that there is no particular order for this top 10 products

The best shampoo I’ve ever used. I used to use drug store shampoos since I was a kid. Since I came across the world of beauty on YouTube and got to know more about harmful ingredients in our toiletries, I started to pay attention to the ingredients whenever I bought beauty products. This shampoo lives up to its name, perfect hair day. Since I use this shampoo, my scalp is less oily, but not drying. The only problem with my hair is it easily break and this shampoo kinda minimizes it. I haven’t tried out the conditioner yet, but I probably going to try it out when I repurchase this shampoo. The scent is pretty nice, despite they don’t add artificial fragrance to it. This product is definitely worth to try. Find the most suitable formula for your hair.

My holy-grail product of all time! This product saves my skin on scorching hot days in Korea (41 degrees is not a joke). I didn’t get sunburn even though the sun is streaking right to my bones. The formula is ultra-light so it doesn’t feel greasy at all. Plus no white marks at all. I made a full review of this product on my “Sunscreen Battle” post and you can read it here.

The best finding I’ve ever found on the internet. Not many people reviewed this product even though it was that good. One Korean department store has this brand on it, so actually, it was that legit. I really liked this product and I’ve still remembered the texture and the scent of this product. Full review about this product is up on my blog, you can read it here.

This serum is my holy grail product on the list. I’ve used up two bottles of it and I have a good experience with it. Let me emphasize this again, this serum is not meant for specific problem tackling product. This serum is good for prep your skin, especially when you do the 7-steps Korean Skincare thing.

Ever since I used this product, my skin looks brighter and less red. It is one of my holy grail products if I could say. The ingredients are mostly natural extracts, so it is safe for all skin types. This product was made by Korean Midas’s hands in the world of beauty, Son Dae Sik and Park Tae Yoon. So, in one word, this product is LEGIT. This multi-purpose product can act as a toner or cleansing water. I haven’t tried it on waterproof mascara yet, but I guess it can work too!

This moisturizer is not the thick-type moisturizer like you used to know. This moisturizer is the typical Korean moisturizer. It is lightweight and watery. It is very good for oily and sensitive skin types because you don’t need to rub and the water portion is bigger than any other ingredients. The smell is quite calming, so it was very good for night time. I don’t use a moisturizer at day time, because it’s hot here in Indonesia, so I don’t layer lots of product on day time (But, when it’s winter, you probably need this regime!). I haven’t found any toxic ingredients on this product, where The Faceshop mostly use parabens on its products, so I might repurchase this thing again.

I found this brand thanks to Imjenim. What I love from this product is the wipes are soft and smell pretty good. Cucumber extract good for bloating and refreshing at the same time. They have several variants, but I haven’t tried it. Out of all the options they spread, I think I like this variant the best.

The cushion market in Korea is extremely fierce up until now. I’ve just tried 2 cushions from hundreds of options in the market and one of them is IOPE Air Cushion XP. Actually, I recommended this to my mom, but she didn’t see it good for her (but then, she bought another IOPE cushion though), so she gave it to me. I really liked this cushion because it is full coverage but not tacky. It also gives you the “Korean glow” like you see on the ads. I’m going to try another cushion next time I go to Korea, but definitely going to repurchase the refill for this cushion!

Too bad Skinfood has to close down. I really liked this foot scrub because it was that good. It smells good and really soften harden skin. I’m open to a new foot scrub because my foot is super ugly.

This eye cream is my first eye cream ever and I’ve finished two jars of it. I’ve reviewed this product on my blog, where you can read it here. I wrote that I couldn’t find the negativity of this product, it’s because I haven’t read the ingredients properly. Packaging and texture-wise it was all I needed for back then. Since I’m getting older, I tend to find more effective ingredients inside my skincare products. I’m so excited to try out “Avocado Eye Cream” from Kiehls because avocado helps with moisturizing, which will make our eyes less dry. Dryness might lead to show aging marks.

Wow! That’s pretty a lot. Well, those 10 products are my favorite products, but not all of them might not suitable for you. I’m so sad that Skinfood has to close down and I don’t have any foot scrub anymore. So, I’m open to new recommendations from you. Thank you so much for reading till this far and much more thanks if you finished watching my video too. I’ll see you soon! (I haven’t planned anything yet for my blog, but I will see you soon!)

Korean Haul 2016

Finally, I posted my HUGE Korean Haul on the blog and uploading a video on my YouTube! I am really sorry for the late post and also a bad quality of my video. I don’t know why my camera doesn’t cooperate well with me this time. Anyway, here on the blog I’ll posted a more detailed description and a little review to the products I’ve tried.

Burt’s Bee Beeswax Lip Balm

I forgot to put it on my video, but I’m putting it on the blog. I randomly bought a lip balm to cure my dry lips due to drying windy weather. I didn’t bring mine at that time because I don’t know that Korea is that cold when it’s spring season. I bought this one just because I’m curious with the goodness of Burt’s Bee. Well, it works pretty good, but I think I bought the wrong flavor. My lips feel a little bit stings when I applied it on my very dry skin. And I didn’t really enjoy that sensation. But overall, I pretty liked it.

Clio Kill Cover Stick and Liquid Concealer

"Only one coat is enough to cover like a professional artist"

I bought this product because of Pony Beauty used it and a review of mysugarcoffee.com. It has a good reputation for their cover. Many Korean beauty artists also use this particular product. I haven’t try both of them yet, because I still have my Innisfree and Clinique concealer to finished. And also I’ve bought The Faceshop’s dual concealer that still unused. I bought the stick concealer for KRW 12,800 or around $12.80.

Dr. Jart Ctrl-A Spot Out and Drying Spot Corrector

If you watched my "Empties 2015" video and read my blog post about it, you might know that I really like my Ctrl-A Spot Out product. It does a great job for my acne. To compliment it, I also bought the drying spot corrector. It creates a great duo! Even though sometimes the spot corrector does not correct the scars because of the popped out acne. Since I bought on a drugstore in Korea named Olive Young, I got a cheaper price than the department stores. I also got a great deal because the products I bought come into a set with smaller size of toner and facial foam. I was happy to purchase those deal!

Etude House Proof 10 Auto Pencil Eyeliner

I don’t really know about the goodness of auto pencil eyeliner when the first time I bought it. But after I used it, I found using eyeliner could be this easy! It also doesn’t smudge at all even though I wear it on my waterline. I prefer an gel pencil eyeliner these days than a liquid one or a pen one. I really recommend this eyeliner for newbie and someone who are short in money, because it only cost for 6,000 KRW or around $6.

Etude House My Beauty Tool Eye Blending Brush #311

I’ve been searching for a complete set of brush for my eyes, but reluctant to buy it. In the end I didn’t buy a full set, but I bought few brushes that I might actually need. I don’t really bother to use eye makeup everyday, so I didn’t need the urge to buy all of it immediately. But since, I was in Korea, I think the brushes are quite cheap so I bought the one that I really need. This brush is quite soft and it’s PINK! This brush is only 5,000 KRW more or less $5!

Etude House Pink Water (Sample)

Etude House just launched a new skincare line called Pink Water. I haven't try it yet, but I think this one was launched for spring and summer time. I'll try this skincare when I travel. If any of you have tried this line, leave the comments down below.

(The) Faceshop The Therapy First Serum

I’m not sure if this one is a serum or sort of toner. Because it was said this one is the first step. Regardless of the confusing name, I still bought it because of the work its’ done. It was refreshing and soothing in a light way. I bought it with a special promotion which it included a cotton pad! I was impressed with the cotton pads in Korea, because I think it was high quality but cheap in the same time.

Faceshop Character Mask(s)

Honestly I haven’t tried it yet, but soon I’ll give an updated review about this product particularly. (SOON!)

Holika Holika Pro Beauty Foxy Eyeliner #01

I knew this product because of Pony from PONY Makeup. I bought this just because of curiosity. And I think this eyeliner will do a great job as my Etude House Proof 10 Eyeliner. This product cost a little bit expensive from the Etude House one, which is 7,900 KRW.

Holika Holika Soda Pore Light Cleansing Oil

This is my first cleansing oil! I knew that the best one is Shu Eumura’s, but on the cheaper side, the Internet said that this one is quite good. Jen from Meejmuse also have mentioned that it is one of the must have product from K-Beauty section. This product cost for 9,730 KRW or around $ 9.73.

Holika Holika Gonyak Soft Perfect Bubble Foam

I asked the shop assistant if they have any good facial cleanser, and she showed me this product. She gives a short demonstration how to use it and what it feels like. Without much hesitant, I bought it right away (and I was in a quite hurry at that time). I am really excited to try it soon! The product cost for 11,900 KRW or $ 11.90.

Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater Essence

Searching through the shop, then I was shown this essence by the SA. She gave me a tester also; somehow I bought it right away. At first, I was going to buy the green tea line from Innisfree. I think I like this better than my L’Occitane essence. (Empties June 2016 will be uploaded and posted soon!) This product cost for 30,000 KRW or around $30.

Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater Mist

Proof!
When I bought the essence, the SA gave me a package of a mist also. I didn’t intend to buy the mist, but somehow I need it. So, I purchase the package of essence and mist. I really like the smell though. If you bought the mist alone, it cost for 18,000 KRW or around $18.

Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater Cream

I think that having all a product range from the same product line does affected the result of improved skin. So, I decided to buy their cream also. I bought it because I might ran out of my moisturizer soon. I haven’t given it a try, but I think this will work like my Etude House Moistful Collagen Cream. This product also cost for 30,000 KRW or around $30.

Innisfree Water Glow + Long Wear Cushion

Honestly, I’ve been “poisoned” by YouTube videos. I knew this product because of watching so much K-Beauty videos. When my mom bought this for the first time, she likes it very much. She was always wanted to have that “Korean glow”. My mom’s fave is the water glow one, because it does give that “glow”. I bought two of it because I also like that kind of glow and I was too lazy to do a touch up.

Innisfree Olive Real Cleansing Foam

I bought another cleansing foam just for a backup. I bought this one rather than the green tea one just because I randomly select it and I wanted to try another ingredient. I've used Banila Co's green tea facial foam, so I choose another one from Innisfree. I'll put up more detailed review on my second part of A-Z Cleanser Review! Stay tune!

IOPE Air Cushion XP (Intense Cover) SPF 50++

I’ve heard lots of people rave about this product. So, I persuaded my mom to buy it when she looked around at Aritaum. When I went back home, I watched Beauty Bible (KBS) and this product was ranked number one. So, I think I made a pretty good choice. I’ve been using this product a lot because I just loved it. It gave that Korean glow that I was looking for. When I first used it in Korea, I took pictures and when I saw the pictures, I was very happy with my face. The glow showed up in a really pretty good way. I really recommend for everyone to purchase this. IOPE Air Cushion is more expensive than Innisfree one, it cost for 42,000 KRW (Gmarket).

The photo that got me like WHOA! See that glow?

3CE Mini Lip Lacquer Kit #Red Attitude

I’ve to say that this one is one of my favorite purchase of all. I really liked the color set that I chose. The colors also showed up really well on my lips. The nude color is really subtle. The orange coral one is really pretty on my lips on its own or mixed with pink. The red color is what I looking for and it was pretty too, even though I could use it on its own, because I’m not that confident. I wore it with a dark pink color and use the red one like a tint. Then I blend it all over. Or not I will look like a scary lady and my mom will be terrified I wore that red color on its own. This sets cost for 36,000 KRW or around $36.

3CE Cream Blusher

I’ve added up another novelty product to my collection. This is my first cream blusher and I pretty liked it. Also, I choose a pretty color. I was happy with the result on my face. It was really subtle and very girly. This product cost for 12,000 KRW , more or less $12.

The picture sums up the products I used from the products that I purchased in the Korean Haul 2016, which is the IOPE Air Cushion XP, 3CE Lip Lacquer in nude peach color, and Etude House Proof 10 Auto Eyeliner.

BONUS: Here's all the products that I bought and got from my Korean Haul 2016! Thank you for all the extras and gift!
